Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

GiveMeMyPhotos helps you find and receive photos of yourself taken at events. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

1. What we collect

  • Your name and email address — provided by you when retrieving your photos
  • Your selfie photo — used to identify your face in event photos
  • Your matched event photos — packaged and delivered to you as a download

2. Google Drive access

When an event organiser connects their Google Drive to create an event, we request access only to the specific folder they select. We do not access, index, or store any other files or folders in their Drive.

  • Only photos within the explicitly selected folder are fetched and processed.
  • Access is scoped to that folder and is not used for any purpose beyond processing the event.
  • The organiser can revoke Drive access at any time from their Google account settings.

3. How we use it

  • To find photos of you within the event using facial recognition
  • To send you a secure download link via email
  • To send a one-time password (OTP) to verify your identity
  • We do not use your data for marketing or advertising

4. How long we keep it

Data Retention period
Name & email Until you request deletion
Selfie photo 1 day after upload
Event photos (originals) 30 days after the event
Your photo download (zip) 7 days after delivery

5. Who we share it with

  • We use trusted cloud infrastructure providers to store photos and process facial recognition. These providers act as data processors on our behalf and do not use your data for their own purposes.
  • We do not sell or share your data with any third party for their own use.

6. Your rights

You can request deletion of your name, email, and any remaining photos at any time by emailing us. We will process requests within 30 days.
